The Project
The Temple of Peoples will host a modern theatre with more than 1,000 seats. Part of the original rock wall of the site will be left intact, in order to create a special acoustic and energetic effect.
There will be a library of sacred and spiritual texts and innovative spaces for research and the arts. The new spaces will be contained inside an immense dome, constructed with innovative technologies. The Temple shall be rich in works of art, so that artists from all over the world can participate in the realization of this great dream.
“In many ancient mystical traditions, it is said that in every age there appear new, mythic human formulations to broaden, transform and deepen what has been achieved before. Not walking in the footsteps of others, but looking at the world through new eyes to search for one’s own way of expressing the marvellous mystery of the Universe, is a human exercise of creation. For the Damanhurians, this mystical exercise has produced an entire culture founded on spiritual research, creativity, sacred language and dance, rituality, innovative theories on time and on personalities, and the construction of the temples. All this simply to show the world that it is possible when a group of individuals decides to move together, as if they were cells in the body of the Divine.”
